PENNYWISE Frontman Jim Lindberg Drops New Album with THE BLACK PACIFIC
Jim Lindberg, lead singer of California skate punk band PENNYWISE, has exciting new music on the way. His side project, THE BLACK PACIFIC, is set to release an 11-song album titled Here Comes Our Wave. The highly anticipated LP will be available on September 20 via Dine Alone Records, based in Toronto.
Lindberg recorded Here Comes Our Wave at Buzzbomb Studios in Orange, California. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Paul Miner, who has worked with TOUCHÉ AMORÉ and DEATH BY STEREO. The sessions took place over two seasons in 2023, spanning both spring and fall.
Lindberg wrote and performed all the songs on the album. He collaborated with his longtime friend and drummer, Alan Vega, who has been a key partner throughout the project. Here Comes Our Wave promises to deliver the raw energy and intense lyrics fans expect from Lindberg’s music.
This isn’t Lindberg’s first project with THE BLACK PACIFIC. The band’s debut self-titled album was released in 2010 on SideOneDummy Records. Much like their new album, Lindberg was responsible for writing and performing all the tracks. His dedication to crafting authentic punk music remains evident in his latest work.
